Sometimes you need a bit of company – without really having to actually be with someone in physical form. At least I do! So here are some people that I have found works really well in those moments.
I will add to the list as I go along, but here’s the start anyway.
This is Kate at the Last Homely House, and this video is a bit of an introduction to her channel – it’s from October 2020 so there are heaps of newer videos. Very comforting and nice company to have around while you create things yourself.
This is how she describes her channel The Last Homely House on Youtube:
Welcome to my little corner of the world. Here is where I will share my home, my cats/poultry/bees/garden and all the things I love to do here in the North of England. A glorious celebration of my simple life.
This is what Tolkien said about The Last Homely House East of the Sea …….. It is a perfect house, whether you like food or sleep, or story-telling or singing, or just sitting and thinking best, or a pleasant mixture of them all. Merely to be there was a cure for weariness, fear and sadness.
That’s what I hope my house is for folk I promise you no strongly held opinions, rants or arguments.
Just a friendly few minutes in your day that I invite you to share with me.
Then there’s Ali at This Little Wonderful Life, this is her everyday life-channel but there’s also her knitting and crochet podcast called Little Drops of Wonderful. Both channels are lovely and inspiring.
This is how she describes her channel:
‘This Little Wonderful Life’ started off as a place for me to combat my anxieties about life by focusing on the good bits, the people, places and experiences that I love. Not glossing over the bad bits, but not letting them consume me either. You will find weekly (sometimes daily!) vlogs about my life and adventures in the UK, to inspire you and offer you a little bit of cosy time.
You will find vlogs about daily life, day trips places around Britain, holidays in Europe and my creative life – drawing, crochet and knitting – as well as home organising, my love of walking and nature and a little bit of cooking and recipes. And lets not forget our three happy backyard chickens!
